Ταξίδια

Υπάρχει άραγε ομορφότερο πράγμα στον κόσμο από τα ταξίδια? Μακρινά ή κοντινά, μεγάλης ή μικρής διάρκειας, το μόνο σίγουρο είναι ότι αποτελούν ένα μεγάλο κεφάλαιο στην ζωή κάθε ανθρώπου.

Αποτελούν πηγή έμνευσης, στιγμές ξεκούρασης, ανοίγουν τους ορίζοντες και βοηθούν στο να γίνουμε πιο ανοικτόμυαλοι και δεκτικοί σε νέους πολιτισμούς, σε νέες συνήθειες και στο να κατανοούμε πως λειτουργεί ο πλανήτης έξω από το καβούκι του καθενός μας. Ενίοτε μπορεί και να είναι κουραστικά, αλλά δεν πιστεύω ότι μπορεί να υπάρξει ταξίδι που η προσφορά του (σε οποιονδήποτε τομέα) θα είναι μηδενική.

Για αυτούς τον λόγο, η μόνη προτροπή μου είναι να απολαμβάνετε τα ταξίδια, όποτε και για όσο χρόνο μπορείτε. Ακόμα και μία επίσκεψη σε κάποιο κοντινό χωριό, είναι υπεραρκετή για να ξεφύγουμε από την καθημερινότητα.

Και επειδή ποτέ μου δεν ήθελα να γίνω συγγραφέας, δεν θα μακρυγορήσω περισσότερο σχετικά με το θέμα του ταξιδιού και απλά θα σας προτείνω ένα εξαιρετικό βιβλίο που διάβασα φέτος (να 'σαι καλά Μυρτώ που μου το πρότεινες). Το βιβλίο λέγεται 'Η τέχνη του ταξιδιού' και είναι του Γάλλου Αλαίν ντε Μποττόν. Ένα βιβλίο που αναλύει τα ταξίδια, τις απολαύσεις αλλά ακόμα και πράγματα που μας ενοχλούν, συχνά με την βοήθεια μεγάλων κλασσικών συγγραφέων και ζωγράφων που μίλησαν ή εμπνεύστηκαν από τα ταξίδια, την φύση και τον κόσμο γύρω μας.

Εύχομαι σε όλους καλά ταξίδια λοιπόν και επί την ευκαιρία, πάω να ψάξω για τον επόμενο προορισμό μου. Τόσα μέρη να επισκεφθεί κανείς σε αυτό τον πλανήτη και τόσος λίγος διαθέσιμος χρόνος :) ...

...and the dark dark side of life

Bloody police leadership, bloody politicians and incompetent local governments...in the altar of drugs, money, interests and the sick mentality of the greek nation, you send normal police officers directly to death. You should all be ashamed!! Resign from your offices!

Instead of moving towards a civilised and improved Greece, we go back to barbarian times.

On the other hand, where is the society to condamn the local drug dealers that are not afraid to kill anyone that is threating their business?

Cretan pride is just a sick joke. As long as there are villages like Zoniana in Crete, every Cretan should be ashamed. The only way that this situation will ever change, is when locals take action against those that destroy the island and its reputation.

The bright side of life

It's true that it took quite some time to write on my blog, but as greek i cannot be anything else than lazy in certain periods of my life.

Despite living in a beautiful country (see Greece), there are so many things that make me "hate" this place. Though I will write in some other post, in the future, about them, because now i feel too good to think about it and prefer the bright side of life :)

There are certain realities in Greece and its people that make this place special. One of the nicest is the actual lifestyle and the habit of living in a relaxed way.

The meaning of life can sometimes be caught in this triangle, square, pentagon or whatever you want to call it:
. Good friends
. Good music
. Good and simple food and
. Tsikoudia (mpre Sofokli, piase mpre allo ena karafaki raki...)
all combined in a nice atmosphere, preferably in a quiet, narrow, little street of the city or next to the sea.

What else can you ask from life??

The oil prices might keep rising, politics and sports might still be the most discussed topics all around Greece but nevertheless, we can still claim that we know how to spend our time in a nice way and it's one of the few things i can be proud of Greeks.

I can claim myself happy when i am able to just sit down and enjoy my friends and our experiences, our thoughts, our problems, our plans and anything else might pop up while enjoying the simple products of this planet...

life is good my friends, realise it before it's too late...

Αναρωτιέμαι πως ακριβώς καταφέρατε και βρεθήκατε σε αυτόν τον ιστότοπο, πολύ πιθανό να αναρωτιέστε και εσείς. Όπως και να 'χει, καλώς ήρθατε στο ιστολόγιο μου. Όπως μπορείτε να παρατηρήσετε, δεν υπάρχουν πολλές δημοσιεύσεις γιατί η ιδέα του ιστολογίου πήρε καιρό να ωριμάσει στο μυαλό μου και μόλις σήμερα αποφάσισα να κάνω την 1η προσπάθεια. Πολλά ακόμα τα αναπάντητα ερωτήματα σχετικά με την μορφή και το περιεχόμενο του ιστολογίου (π.χ. η γλώσσα δημοσίευσης, το περιεχόμενο, το ύφος κ.ά.) αλλά σιγά σιγά θα προχωρήσει το θέμα.
